Irma Pomposo Biography

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Irma Pomposo, began her political career serving as a field deputy for the office of Councilman Dennis Zine. During her eight years in the Third Council District, Irma quickly ascended to District Director and then served as Deputy Chief of Staff. Irma successfully managed all district matters, including key district initiatives, million dollar infrastructure projects and district wide events. Prior to joining the City of Los Angeles, Irma worked for the United Way of Greater Los Angeles. At the United Way, Irma was responsible for managing top level sponsorships and fundraisers targeting Fortune 500 companies. Irma also managed the production of large scale events, including galas and report launches.

Irma graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge. Irma currently lives in the San Fernando Valley with her husband, Alejandro, and two sons, Joaquin and Mattias.
