Jessica Tarman Nassour was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. Upon graduation, Jessica worked for former Assemblyman Mark Wyland as his Press Secretary and Field Representative coordinating media relations and community outreach programs. Jessica then moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Communication Management from the Annenberg School for Communication. While pursuing her graduate degree, Jessica worked as the Senior Publicist for Sacks Media Group helping to raise awareness about family law and gender issues.
After completing graduate school, Jessica returned to public service working as the Communications Director for Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis P. Zine where she managed all media relations and public outreach efforts for six years. Jessica was well known in Los Angeles City Hall for her ability to connect and advance the office’s legislative initiatives through local, national, and international press coverage. Jessica served in this capacity until July of 2013 before becoming a Partner at Blackman & Associates.
Jessica serves as a member of the Los Angeles U.S. Army Community Advisory Board. She currently lives in Sherman Oaks with her husband, Chris.
